A Breakfast of Appreciation at D.S.S.

A complimentary breakfast was enjoyed on Thursday, May 18 at the 8th Annual Employer Appreciation Breakfast. This breakfast took place from 7:30a.m. to 9:00a.m. in Dunnville Secondary School’s cafeteria. This was to celebrate the generosity of local employers who gave D.S.S. students an opportunity to co-op at their specific workplace. These opportunities given by the employers really helped the students gain excellent work skills, a true understanding of responsibility and completely prepared the students for their fast approaching future.
The cafeteria staff was extremely well prepared and worked hard to make breakfast for the 125 people that attended. The staff received an enormous amount of positive feedback due to their hard work and dedication in the delightful meal they prepared. They served everything from delicious scrambled eggs to super sweet cinnamon buns. D.S.S. Co-op teacher Sharon McIntee stayed busy greeting the employers and helped to serve hot beverages. McIntee believed it was a huge success and was an effective way of saying thank you to the supporters for giving the students such a golden opportunity. “It definitely shows the employers how much they are appreciated for giving the students such excellent experience.”
