On Friday, May 27th 2011 at 6:00pm students from Dunnville Secondary School gathered at AMICI’S Banquet Hall and Conference Centre to attend a wonderful and magnificent night at prom. The night began with a wonderful dinner consisting of salads, pasta and veggies, chicken parmesan and a brownie topped with ice cream and caramel sauce for dessert. “The dinner was really nice; I really liked the choice of food,” said Jesse Waumsley who was seated with friends Jacob Farr, Ian and Isaac Cowan, and Andrew Jurik. After a wonderful dinner the night continued into a wonderful dance. “The dinner was awesome and I wish I could do it again; it was all beautiful,” said Sarah Rogers. The ceremonial crowning of Prom King and Queen and Prince and Princess took place at 9:00. Jacob Farr and Julia Culp took the Crown as Prom King and Queen 2011, while Eric Silverthorne and Randy Koster were crowned as Prince and Princess. “Prom was such an amazing time and I’m glad I got to experience it with everyone that went. It’s a once in a life time kind of thing and I really never expected to be voted prom queen. I’m so grateful that all my class mates chose me to be prom queen. It was such an honour and it made the night even more special, “said Culp. The night ended with one last slow dance at 10:00 pm, making for a perfect ending to a magical night.
