Junior Girls Still Learning

Dunnville Secondary School's (DSS) Junior Girl's Basketball team played their third game of the season against McKinnon Park Secondary School. On Thursday, October 13, McKinnon and Dunnville went head-to-head in a great game in which McKinnon's Blue Devils came out on top. It was a tough loss for the Panthers, but there is no shame in the 47-17 loss, as the girls played an impressive defence. According to team coach Jennifer Priestman, the defence is really great. She said that the team just needs to practice their foul shooting, running through plays, and their offense.
Priestman said that many of the players have not played much real basketball prior to this year. "They're learning, and they can only get better," she said. The team is learning more every single game, and have a lot of potential to do really great. "Our team has been learning throughout the entire season; it was only our third game. They learned more as the game progressed," said Priestman.
DSS can be proud that they have a basketball team full of great players with so much potential, and they can only hope that their efforts and practice begin to show more on the basketball court.
