School has been back in session for about a month and the Dunnville Secondary School Panthers were starting to feel the pressure; this meant it was time for this year’s welcome back dance!
The theme for this year's dance was Wild West. Students put on their plaid shirts, jeans, cowboy hats and boots and got ready to get down! The gym was well decorated for the occasion, featuring hay bales, horse saddles, and many other Wild West style decorations.
The dance was put on, decorated, and funded by student council (thanks to all who helped set-up and clean-up, and all the teachers who helped supervise). Tickets were sold on the days prior to the dance for seven dollars a ticket, and also at the dance for eight dollars a ticket. The dance took place on Thursday September 29th at seven o’clock p.m. until ten o’clock p.m. Over 110 students attended the dance. This dance helped provide a remedy for students with the ‘back to school blues.’
