The Dunnville Secondary School (D.S.S.) boys basketball team demonstrated incredible talent and expertise as they played their first game if the season, against Hagersville Secondary School (H.S.S) The D.S.S team had their coaches and fans on the edge of their seats, as they played in their home court last Thursday night. at the start of the second half, the D.S.S panthers and H.S.S. Hurricanes, were tied 18-18. But with much encouragement and motivation from the side lines, D.S.S won the game 40-38
Andrew sunk the first basket of the season and led his team with twelve points. The D.S.S Panthers were ecstatic about the win. "I think we came together well as a team" said D.S.S Panther player Jordan. "I think we passed the ball accurately and promptly on offensive, and covered well on defence" Bill, Joe and Andrew all serve as coaches to the D.S.S. boys basketball team; each of them have high expectations for the season and are pleased with their teams high spirits and enthusiasm "I think they played excellent, lots of energy," said coach, Bill.
