The Hunt is on!

In the wilds of Dunnville Secondary School (DSS) the students were on the hunt!  On Thursday, April 5, 2012 the students of DSS participated in an invigorating Easter egg hunt.  At 10:00 while the students were in class, student council hid 200 paper eggs around the school as well as 3 golden paper eggs.  At the start of lunch the students were instructed to find all the eggs hidden on the first and second floor.  When they found them they had to bring them to the cafeteria where they were rewarded with chocolate Easter eggs.  The lucky three people who found the golden eggs were rewarded with a chocolate bunny.  When asked why student council organized the hunt, student council Prime Minister Ben Smith said, “It was a fun event.  We didn’t make a profit on it but we did it so the kids can have fun, plus it was fun being the Easter bunny.”  The students had the same excitement.  “It was a lot of fun,” said Madison Dykstra, a grade 10 student, “plus we got some chocolate.”  There were a variety of students running down the halls in excitement looking for the last Easter eggs.  “The thrill, excitement and exercise made it all worthwhile,” said Matt Schmalz, a grade 10 student of DSS.  All in all it was a good day at DSS.  It was a great way to start the four day weekend and get everyone in the spirit of Easter.
