Important OSAP Meeting Taking Place at DSS

Danielle McMahon

Calling all parents with a senior in highschool. If your son or daughter is going on to post-secondary school in the fall, there is an important meeting at Dunnville Secondary School (DSS) you need to attend.
The meeting takes place on Tuesday, May 8TH and is at 6:30pm. This meeting is about the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and why it is important for any student going to school. Some parents have already been through this process with their older children but should attend anyway since there are many changes in the process for OSAP this year. The application for OSAP is all done online and how to do that will be covered at the meeting. There will be an OSAP representative from Niagara College there to answer any questions on financing education and help explain more about it. The information is the same for all schools, university or college.
Donna McMahon, the guidance counsellor at DSS, will also be at the meeting. “OSAP keeps post-secondary education accessible to all students in terms of financing. It is really important because education helps keep opportunities open in life.”
