Prom Tickets For Sale

Dunnville Secondary School (DSS) is hosting its annual prom once again this year for its graduating students. The prom committee has been hard at work with a variety of fundraisers including the “Pie in the Face” event, which was held late February, and selling lollipops each day at lunch.

Tickets for prom will go on sale next Friday. Because of the amount of fundraising that this year’s prom committee put forth, the tickets will be sold for a low cost of 45 dollars. They will continue to sell tickets until the end of April. The prom event, a Night Under the Stars, is to be held on May 4^th, 2012. With the purchase of a ticket, students are invited to attend a dinner and dance at Club Roma in St. Catharines.

When asked how planning prom has been so far, Taylor Rowe, a member of the prom committee and also a grade twelve student of DSS, stated, “It hasn’t been stressful planning prom so far. The amount of fundraising has really cut down the ticket prices, which we are very happy about. We have a good group working together to make this a great night for all of us students.”

It also seems to be that the students are already getting very excited for the event. “I am most excited to dress up and spend the night having fun with my friends,” said Kim Visser, a graduating student of DSS. Visser also added, “I think everyone has been looking forward to prom and all the hard work of the prom committee will really pay off.”
