Future Panthers took over the halls of Dunnville Secondary School (DSS) last Wednesday, May 2. The DSS Student's Council organized a day filled with fun and games for the graduating students from all of Dunnville's elementary schools.
The day consisted of games and events, run by the student's council and other grade twelve students, including potato sack races, banana races, and many more. The grade eight students were divided into small teams to compete against one another in the events. DSS staff and grade twelve students also organized a BBQ lunch in the courtyard for everyone participating.
The goal of this event was to introduce the grade eight students to a high school environment, and to get them excited about attending DSS next year. This day allowed students to meet their future fellow classmates and begin building relationships with one another.
“It was a fun day for everyone,” said grade twelve group leader Dani McMahon. “There was a lot of team building, and excitement.”
