A Night Under the Stars

Last Friday, May 4, Dunnville Secondary School's (DSS) class of 2012 spent a Night Under the Stars in celebration of their senior prom. The starry event took place at Club Roma in St. Catharines, with over 100 senior students in attendance.

The students were dressed to impress, as they took part in a night consisting of a formal dinner, dancing and many memories. “I've never seen everyone look so good," said grade twelve student Lauren Andrews.

The students enjoyed an Italian style dinner. During dinner, the graduating class was surprised with a memorable slideshow of photos throughout their four years at DSS put together by grade twelve student Carlin Dykstra.

Following dinner, students took over the dance floor thanks to DJ Joe Barilla. During this time, the Prom Royalty was announced. Jake Krajcir and Paige Williams were crowned prom King and Queen, while Ben Stanley and Dani McMahon were crowned prom Prince and Princess. Students were nominated by DSS staff, and the students attending prom voted.

“Prom was definitely a night to remember,” said Paige Williams. “The dancing was so much fun, and the dinner was delicious. Prom will be one of the best high school memories for many of us.”
